PROFILE
Mr. A. Y. Dzramado is a visionary educator, creative entrepreneur, and innovation-driven leader whose passion for art, design, and technology inspired the establishment of Gamtion College of Art and Design, Ghana (GCAD-GH). Through his commitment to practical education and skills development, he has dedicated his career to nurturing creative talents and equipping students with industry-relevant knowledge.
Early Life
Mr. A.Y Dzramado was born in Dambai, the capital of the Oti Region, as the fifth of twelve children of Mr. J. K. Dzramado and the fourth of six children of Madam Rejoice Agbenyega. His hometown is Mafi Adidome, near Sogakope in the Volta Region.
Educational Background
He began his basic education in Dambai and completed his Junior High School education at Sankis Advance Preparatory and JHS (SAPISCO). His exceptional creativity became evident during his final year, when he successfully designed and built functional models of a ferry, refrigerator, and electric fan. These achievements earned him the nickname “Gumption,” which he later transformed into “Gamtion,” the name that now represents the institution he founded.
He continued his education at Kpando Senior High School, where he pursued Visual Arts. During this period, he designed a fully functional corn mill and represented his district at a regional art competition with an innovative project created from locally available materials.

Professional Development
Driven by his passion for creativity, Mr. A.Y Dzramado relocated to Accra in 2013 to pursue greater opportunities. He enrolled at Ghanatta College of Art and Design to study Fine Art. Although financial constraints prevented him from completing the programme, his determination to excel led him to pursue professional training at several reputable institutions.
His qualifications include:
- Certificate in Graphics and Web Design – IPMC
- Diploma in Graphic Design – WISAC College of Technology
- Diploma in Web Development – NIIT
These programmes strengthened his expertise in graphic design, digital media, web development, and creative technologies.

With over 12 years of professional experience in graphic design, branding, web development, and creative education, Mr. A.Y Dzramado has established himself as a respected creative professional. Throughout his career, he has trained numerous students, businesses, and professionals while delivering innovative design solutions across various industries.
